Homework for 9/28

After you read for at least 20 min, please leave the title and author of your book in the comment section.  This week I want you to talk to me about your mental images also.  In your comment, tell me what words the author used to help you create a mental image.  Remember that when you use the authors words, you need to put the word or words in "quotation marks".

    I read Farmer Boy. By Laura Ingalls Wilder. The words that helped me create my mental image were..."His eye was swollen shut."

    I read The Buddy Files The Case Of The Lost Boy again by Dori Hillstead Butler.
    The words "Connor dissapeared in Kayla's frontyard"helped me create my Mental image of when and where Connor dissapeared.

    I read Goddess Girls by Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams. [Book finished]. The words "Poseidon's face lit up and he hurried to join them onstage." made my mental image.

    I read Goddess Girls by Joan Holub and Suzanne Willams. The word 'beast' 'bad breath' helped me create a picture of a monster teacher

    I am reading the book Down Girl and Sit Home on the Range by Lucy Nolan. The sentence that helps me form my mental image is "the trash was flying up in the air." I felt that I could really see in my mind trash flying through the air.

    I read It's Halloween, You 'Fraidy Mouse! by Geronimo Stilton. When I read the words " smiling, I casually glanced out the window" I created an mental image.

    I read "Super Diaper Baby 2- the invasion of the potty snatchers" by Dav Pilkey. The words  that created my mental image were " I evaporated into a cloud".

    I read The Report Card by Andrew Clements. I created my mentel image when it said " baby putting a hard puzzle together" I created my image.

    I read junie B. Jones Is the Captain of Feild By Barbara Parks My mental Image was I saw Junie B. Mad about losing. A word that helped me make that mental image was mad.

    Mole In A Hole

    My mental image came when I read the sentence "So he said to a mouse and a frog and a bee, 'Come into my house and eat with me.'". I had a mental image of a mouse and a frog and a bee and a mole eating together in the mole's house.

    Mason read Sluggers #1 Magic in the Outfield by Phil Bilder and Loren Long. He liked the passage, "She squeezed the baseball and slid it into her pocket." It reminds him of when he plays baseball.
