Homework for 9/26

After you read for at least 20 min, please leave the title and author of your book in the comment section.  This week I want you to talk to me about your mental images also.  In your comment, tell me what words the author used to help you create a mental image.  Remember that when you use the authors words, you need to put the word or words in "quotation marks".

    I read Human Body. By Luann Colombo. the word that helped me creadte my mental image was "poured the corn syrup."

    I read Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan. "His face got redder than lava" I pictured a person that had lava coming out of its face.

    Plaldypus lost in Plaldypups lost when it said buttons for eyes it made me think that the plaldypus had big yellow eyes

    i read the Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies and my mentil imige was that when they said we have 50 dollars it made me think that they were out there for like 1 hoers!

    I read Goddess Girls by Joan Holub and Suzanne Willams. The words 'brown hair' 'shimmering skin' 'grey eyes' helped me create a better image of a goddess.

    I read Bad to the Bone pages 31-53 by Mike Reed. When I read the words was " Ruff was jumping up and down. And Here Kitty Kitty was stuck to his sweater! I knew this would happen one day. It was horrible! It was terrible!" I created an meantal image. Connie

    I read two books today the titles were Dinosaurs by Chris McNab and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz. Words that help me describe my mental image in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark are "the footsteps came louder and louder". For Dinosaurs the words that help me describe are "had a powerfull skull and long jaws".
