March 8

We've been working on writing 20 word summaries after reading.

If you are reading a picture book, a 20 word summary should be easily done.

If you are reading a chapter book for homework, you may wish to write a 20 word summary over only one chapter of your book.  If you are reading one of  the DIARY OF A WIMPY KID books you may need to write about what happened over one week.

Summaries include information from the beginning, middle and end.  They include the most IMPORTANT information rather than the most interesting information.

In your post please tell me the title, author and chapter of your book that  you read for 20 minutes.  Then, in exactly 20 words summarize your reading for me.

Thanks! Mrs. Ford

After reading for 20 minutes,
please record the title and author of  your book in the comment section.
Then, synthesize your reading and in FIVE words or less, tell me about what you read.
Remember, this takes some GOOD THINKING... so do your best!
Happy Reading,
Mrs. Ford
