You have become an excellent reader this year!  Read a book of your choice for 20 minutes.  Then, in the comment section write the title, author and what kind of reading strategy worked best for you while you were reading.
Did you have connections?
Did the book create lots of questions and wonderings for you?
Did you learn some new vocabulary?
Were you able to infer about the setting, character, or other events in the story?

    I read the Berenstain Bears go to Camp by Stan and Jan Berenstain. I had a connection while I was reading. My connection was that I went to camp too.

    I read Kids Almanac by National Geographic. A new word I learned was snirt. Scientist use snirt as a mixing of snow and dirt.

    I read Ramona The Brave by Beverly Cleary. I can infer that Beatrice was very embarrassed. That was an inference about a character.
