  • One new or beautiful word and the CONTEXT CLUES (sentence or words) that helped you know that word's meaning.

    I read Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder. A word that I was having trouble with is... clenched. The context clues that helped me figure out what clenched mean were and the muscles of his arm bulged.

    The book i am reading is The Canary Caper by ron roy . The word that i did not know was despicable. The context clue is horrible.Then i figured despicable means very bad.

    Today I read Karlson Flies Again by Astrid Lindgren. The word I chose was hygienic. The context clues that helped me figure out what this word meant was that Karlson had a vacuum.

    I read Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Louis Sachar. when I didn't Know what the word accidentally I read the sentence and the sentence was Wayside school was accidentally built sideways helped me figure out that the word meat forgot.

    I read The Playful Dolphins by Linda McCarter Bridge. My new word is playful my context clue is is the sentence :'They like to jump up in the air and splash back into the water.'

    I read How to Speak Dragonese by Cressida Cowell. THe word pupils means students. these young boys were Gobber's pupils, young members of teh tribe of the hairy hooligans.

    I read Goddess Girls #2: Persephone The Phony by Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams. My new word was chiton. The words that helped me were, "...a goddessgirl in a pale blue chiton - the flowing gown that was all the rage among goddesses...".

    I read Romana and her Mother by Beverly Cleary. When I read the word"Swink" I didn't know what it was so I read the sentence agian and it was a persons name.

    I read sideways stories from wayside school by louis sahar the betiful word is jewls I had a ts is I think.Mrs. skirvanek likes apples also I have an other one some kids have cheated off my paper.
