The BAT

Please practice your BAT poem for reading homework.  Remember to speak so that others can understand you.  Remember to use expression!

THE BAT

The bat is batty as can be.
It sleeps all day in cave or tree,
And when the sun sets in the sky,
It rises from the rest to fly.
All night this mobile mammal mugs
A myriad of flying bugs.
And after its night out on the town,
The batty bat sleeps upside down.

Examples to guide you:

Alexander got gum stuck in his hair.

NON-FICTION:
Bats by Nancy Shaw
The two-inch long ears of the long-eared bat are almost as big as its body.
