10/11/12 Genre

We reviewed genre last week. Read for 20 minutes. Record the title and author of your book in the comment section. Then write 2-5 sentences telling me what genre your book fits in and why. You can use this resource to help remind you about the different types of genres. Use my example to guide you.

    It is a fantasy because Despereaux was cooking oil.
    It was also a fantasy because Roscuro talked to Mig and Mig could understanded Roscuro.

  7. I read Still Just Grace by Charise Harper.I think this book is realistic fiction because her best friend is allergic to cats. Also there is a big meanie at school. EXAMPLE you can do a handstand with three other people.

    I started reading King Arthur by Marc Brown. This is a fantasy book because there is a wizard inside who has his own labyrinth. In the book Arthur was one of the chosen ones to compete in the magical maze.

  15. I read The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. I think it is a fiction book because there are no cat and fish that can talk. A cat cannot do tricks like a human. Also, a fish does not worry about a cat making a mess in a house.
