11/17

After reading for 20 minutes, share with us what reading strategy you used while reading.  You may use and comment on any of the following strategies:

  1. Connections (text to self, text to text, text to world)
  2. Mental Images (What words helped you create a picture?)
  3. Context Clues (What word was new or beautiful for you?  What words in the book helped you discover the meaning of that word?)
  4. Fact and Opinion (Give evidence to support if the sentence from your story is a fact or an opinion.)
  5. Character Development (Provide examples to show how your character's emotions are changing in the story.)

    I read Keiko's Story a killer whale goes home by Linda Moore Kruth. Fact, Keiko is almost a successful Killer Whale that goes home.

    I read Geronimo Stilton's Secret Agent. The words, "I gobbled down my breakfast and practically skipped out the door." helped create my mental image.

    i read Cats by Kathryn Hinds and i used the strategie when i came to a word i put it in to peacies and try to figer it out

    I read On The Banks of Plum Creek by :aura Ingalls Wilder. I created a mental image of an animal. The book didn't say what animal it was but I think I know.The words that helped me create my mental image were... "it had short legs"

    I read onThe Banks Of Plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I have an option for you and heres my sentence ..."It was like being rabbits" I know this is a option because someone else might not think this.

    It was a mental image of a family having a lot of fun together. Uncle George joked and laughed and danced, blowing the bugle. Then Pa took his fiddle out of its box and began to play.

    I READ DIARY OF A WIMPY KID RODRICK RULES BY:JEFF KINNEY THERE DAD TOLD THEM DON'T HAVE ANYONE OVER AND DON'T HAVE ANY PARTYS AND RORICK HAD A PARTY ANYWAYS AND THEN LOCK GREG IN THE BASEMANT.
