12/7

We have been learning to infer in class.  Use the inference equation
BK+TC=I to make an inference during your 20 minutes of reading tonight.
In the comment section, leave the title, author, background knowledge, and text clues that helped you make an inference. 
I've create an example to help you:
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
The book told me that Max was sent to bed without anything to eat.  I know that sometimes kids are sent to bed early when they get in trouble.  I can infer that Max's mom must be mad at him.

  2. I read Fudge-a-mania by Judy Blume. The book did not tell me that uncle feather was a bird but I can infer that he was because there is no person named uncle feather and they keep calling the bird uncle feather.

  4. I read By The Banks Of plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
    I can infer that Laura was intersted in watching the men work o the railroad because she didn't want to leave and I know this because its happend to me!!

    The story describe the event as "I offered to wash the dishes and aunt ethel accepted. I over did it last night". I infer that aunt ethel does not feel well.

    the book tells me that greg sighed up for pre-teen club. from the picture the others look small. I can infer that they are kids not pre-teens.

  22. I read Just Grace by Cherise Mericle Harper. My background knowledge is that soldiers used morse code during war. My text clue is "Mimi got a book from the library so we could learn Morse code and send a flashlight message to each other at night in the dark." So I can infer that morse code is a way to secretly communicate.
