12/12

We have been learning to infer in class.  Use the inference equation
BK+TC=I to make an inference during your 20 minutes of reading tonight.
In the comment section, leave the title, author, background knowledge, and text clues that helped you make an inference. 
I've create an example to help you:
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
The book told me that Max was sent to bed without anything to eat.  I know that sometimes kids are sent to bed early when they get in trouble.  I can infer that Max's mom must be mad at him

  2. I read Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. One inference I had was that it was a kangaroo. The book told me that it was an animal from Australia. I used my backround knollege was that i know a kangoroo is from Australia.

  15. The Berenstain Bears and the Bermuda Triangle by Stan and Jan Berenstain. Brother was looking back at the older cub as if she were the cutest cub he'd ever laid eyes on.

    Sometimes when another person sees this they feel Héloise. I van infer Bonnie felt jelous.

  16. I read Just Grace by Charise Mericle Harper. My background knowledge is that not all dogs have the same behavior and you have to be careful which one you choose. My text clue was, "Max came over when Mimi and I were standing outside talking about the kinds of dogs we liked. German Shepherds are the best dogs ever!" My inference is that German Shepherds are one of the better dogs for families and kids.
