11/15

After reading for 20 minutes, share with us what reading strategy you used while reading.  You may use and comment on any of the following strategies:

  1. Connections (text to self, text to text, text to world)
  2. Mental Images (What words helped you create a picture?)
  3. Context Clues (What word was new or beautiful for you?  What words in the book helped you discover the meaning of that word?)
  4. Fact and Opinion (Give evidence to support if the sentence from your story is a fact or an opinion.)
  5. Character Development (Provide examples to show how your character's emotions are changing in the story.)

  1. Meet Me in Horrowood by Geronimo Stilton. "A tall white wig was perched on his head. His red uniform was trimmed in gold." I imagined a rat with a white wig wearing a uniform.

  2. I read Little House On The Prairie by :aura Ingalls Wilder.I had a text to self connections it was that I get blisters some times.

  3. I read The Berenstain Bear and the Trouble With Friends by Stan & Jan Berenstain.The strategy that I used was mental images.The words that I used to create an mental image was soon they were rolling around on the floor wrestling for the pointer, which broke in two.

  9. I read No Room For Desset by Hallie Durand.I used mentel imagesing because I always when I am intrested I really want to lean abut it and it helps my bran work. p.s the girl is always looking and being intrested in things.
