11/15

After reading for 20 minutes, share with us what reading strategy you used while reading.  You may use and comment on any of the following strategies:

  1. Connections (text to self, text to text, text to world)
  2. Mental Images (What words helped you create a picture?)
  3. Context Clues (What word was new or beautiful for you?  What words in the book helped you discover the meaning of that word?)
  4. Fact and Opinion (Give evidence to support if the sentence from your story is a fact or an opinion.)
  5. Character Development (Provide examples to show how your character's emotions are changing in the story.)

    Meet Me in Horrowood by Geronimo Stilton. "A tall white wig was perched on his head. His red uniform was trimmed in gold." I imagined a rat with a white wig wearing a uniform.

    I read Little House On The Prairie by :aura Ingalls Wilder.I had a text to self connections it was that I get blisters some times.

    I read The Berenstain Bear and the Trouble With Friends by Stan & Jan Berenstain.The strategy that I used was mental images.The words that I used to create an mental image was soon they were rolling around on the floor wrestling for the pointer, which broke in two.

    I read Double Fudge by Judy Blume. A word that was tricky was evaluated but the words school and counselor help me figure it out.

    Today I read A Series Of Unfortunte Events #11 by Lemony Snicket some words that helped me make my mental imamge were it was darker than a crow fliyng at night

    I read No Room For Desset by Hallie Durand.I used mentel imagesing because I always when I am intrested I really want to lean abut it and it helps my bran work. p.s the girl is always looking and being intrested in things.

    I read Witch-Cat by Joan Carris.A opinion is "I like answers."I know it is an opinion because not everybody likes answers.

    I read On The Banks Of Plum creek by Laura Ingalls Willder. I have a option for you today and heres my sentence " it was a wonderful day to play" I know this is a option because someone might not think it was a wonderfull day.

    I read the book Sluggers horsin,' around by Phil Bildner.I used the skill of mental imaging when I read ths book.

    I was a metal image of picturing the snow. "The snow was piled like feathers". and the description of the taste of the snow. " It's a sugar snow"

    I read Judy Moody declares independence and one opinion from the book was ''your hair is messy Judy''said mom. I know its an opinion because Judy
    thought it looked fine but her mother didn't.

    I READ DIARY OF A WIMPY KID CABAN FEVER BY:JEFF KINNEY THEY HAD A SNOW STORM NOW THEY ARE TRAP IN A CABAN INTILL ALL THE SNOW GO'S AWAY THEN THEY ARE FREE FOREVER!.

    I read Geronimo Stilton's Secret Agent. Bafflement was my beautiful new word. "I saw their eyes: disbelief, shock, astonishment, bewilderment, bafflement, annoyance, indignation, anger, and pity!"
