We've been making connections with our reading and our lives!
Good readers think while they read. They notice when characters in the text experience things that they have too. They notice when a character is feeling a way they have felt before. When a character is visiting a place that the reader has been before, it's easy for that reader to get a good idea of what's going on in the story.
Please practice this skill as you read for 20 minutes this evening.
Then, in the comment section write and tell me the title and the author of the book you read.

My connection is that Lydia was scared she would lose her friends and one time in my life I was scared I would lose a friend because she was playing with the new girl. I found a different friend and she was so awesome.

ReplyDeleteBen was looking in the attic and thought there was a monster in the attic. That reminded me of the time I thought there was a creature in my house but it turned out to be a lizard.
I am reading DIARY of a Wimpy kid the uguly truth. So in the book the winpy kid needs a nuw friend. so my connection was that I was tring to make a nuw friend once.

ReplyDeleteI read Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman by Dav Pilkey. There was madness, confusion, and funniness and sometimes I was grossed out. Yesterday I felt all of these things too.
